Technical Leadership

Rudder provides executive level expertise on all operational aspects of project management, including unique requirements for radiological and research facilities and operations, including providing strategic and technical leadership for the project and operations support organizations.

Rudder has in-depth knowledge and experience of projects with significant total project cost and complexity, including leading complex technical project organizations, experience leading strategic and tactical planning and execution, customer service, project continuous improvement, including management systems such as safety, security, configuration management, conduct of operations and earned value management. Rudder has advanced knowledge of design, construction, and transition to operations of highly complex projects within a high security nuclear operations environment.

Technical Excellence

Rudder has advanced knowledge and experience leading complex federal, industrial, commercial and nuclear organizations, including programmatic project work, including experience with DOE O 413.3B projects. Rudder has expert knowledge and expertise in the areas of scale-up, construction, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and other project-related activities, including their interfaces and inter-dependencies. Rudder has expert knowledge in financial analysis and planning, Management experience in all project management functions-including formal EVMS (Earned Value Management System.)

Rudder has expert knowledge and experience conducting critiques, root-cause analysis and lessons learned, including developing project execution plans, work breakdown structures, and work packages; managing to scope, schedule, budget, and technical baselines; and documenting baseline reports and change control actions.

Industrial and Facility Maintenance

Rudder has over three decades and a proven track record in reducing unplanned and unneeded maintenance, reducing maintenance delays, and reducing sustainment costs within an industrial (manufacturing and machining) environment. Including at top-secret scientific government facilities, industry, and DOD (Department of Defense) military facilities. This includes the planning, programming, administering, managing, and executing all maintenance and repair functions necessary to provide the services as specified in the scope of work and technical specifications. Additionally, Rudder implemented preventive and predictive maintenance across the DOD to improve the availability of (combat systems, ships, submarines, and aircraft) weapons systems to achieve equipment readiness at the best cost.

Collaboration and Coalition Building

Rudder has demonstrated success building and growing both internal and external relationships with a variety of constituencies, sponsors, other construction project organizations, higher-level managers, direct reports, and other employees. Additionally, Rudder has demonstrated success guiding and leading field efforts with expertise in building and managing multiple integrated project teams.

Project Work

Rudder has decades of experience in all aspects of engineering, procurement, construction, and fabrication projects.

Rudder delivers excellence in safe execution of construction projects and assures performance against relevant prime contract elements. Rudder can assist in all planning and execution activities, and support the execution of all phases of Capital Projects, e.g., risk analysis and front end planning, navigating unforeseeable events and resolving conflicts on high-risk complex projects.

Rudder has in-depth knowledge and experience of Integrated Safety Management (ISM), leading continuous improvement for project management, leading all aspects of personnel management, including but not limited to: recruiting, employee hiring and on-boarding processes managing headcount, forecasting and budget(s) associated with projects, directing assignments, training, providing continuous performance management including annual performance discussions, identification of growth opportunities and ensuring proper team recognition and appreciation. Interfacing with the Senior Directors as well as the functional managers to define the scope of the portfolios and develop strategies and plans to address project needs. This includes developing resource needs, logistics, and assistance to management on matters dealing with company policies and procedures to ensure compliance, implements project management policies, plans, and programs for the orderly execution of projects including monitoring the execution of deliverables.
